This one-day workshop aims to increase people’s awareness of the issues surrounding arthritis and the impact on the individual with arthritis. Designed to be delivered to a group from the same company or organisation, the course highlights solutions and changes to working practices that can be employed to overcome these difficulties.
‘Being told to consider the depression, lifestyle inhibition, anger and frustration that accompanies arthritis was most useful. I feel I can offer more help to people with arthritis now.’
This workshop is designed for businesses or organisations. You may have people with arthritis on your staff, within your membership, or your customer base may include people with arthritis. We have delivered this course to a wide range of groups, including health and social care professionals and formal and informal carers.
Arthritis Care can tailor a workshop to meet the needs of your group or team. It will include real-life case studies to illustrate the problems of living and working with arthritis – and what solutions are possible. This course raises disability awareness and can aid the implementation of a successful equal opportunities policy.
National care standards and compliance with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) can require regular training to enable staff to become familiar with recurring or fluctuating conditions such as arthritis, and other long-term conditions. Continued training is good commercial practice and cost-effective in raising standards.
We offer very reasonable rates for a professional service. Please speak with our office about your requirements and we will be able to tell you what the cost will be.
Groups who have taken part in our course have been enlightened and impressed – take a look at their comments.
Please contact your local office and we will be happy to talk through the arrangements and organise a date to suit you.
