Why fundraise?

Arthritis Care is a charity for all people with all forms of arthritis. We represent people with arthritis and involve them in developing and delivering our services.

We rely on the generosity of our supporters to maintain and develop our services in the South of England. We are very grateful for the donations we receive from charitable trusts, companies, the Big Lottery Fund, statutory voluntary funds, our members, community groups and members of the public.

What we do in South England

• We provide clear and accurate information about arthritis through our helplines team and our wide range of useful publications
• We run self-management and personal development programmes across the region, giving people the confidence and skills to manage their arthritis and dramatically improve their quality of life
• We put people with arthritis in touch with each other through our network of 60 branches and groups
• We campaign for greater awareness of the needs of everyone with arthritis, improved services and an end to discrimination
• We work closely with health professionals and other arthritis organisations in the UK
• We run this website

Without money we cannot help and support the numbers of people with arthritis that we do. From legacies to sponsored activities and donations, every penny is essential and thoughtfully used.

How is the money spent?

• £10,000 could give 70 more people living in constant pain a place on one of our Challenging Pain workshops
• £5,000 would enable an additional 12 children with arthritis to learn essential life skills at an activity weekend
• £2,500 would pay for our helplines team to answer a further 375 calls
• £1,000 would allow an extra 900 people access to our award winning information booklets
• £500 would support the families of six children with arthritis by providing a workshop delivered by a team of trained professionals
• £250 would provide a tailored information pack for an additional 50 callers to our helpline
