What is Arthritis Care in South England doing?

St Albans branch has been using a pool at St Albans for a number of years now. Its most recent campaign was with the primary care trust who wanted to close the still relatively new pool to save money. However, Siobhan McCurrach, Area Development Manager, successfully supported the branch and the pool remained open. The only problem now is that many people in the area believe that the pool closed and have stopped going to the sessions. This has lead to the group struggling to cover costs when it had previously been self-financing. New members are always welcome

What can I do?

  • You can let us know what you think by email, phone or post
  • You can contact your local hospital and ask them about hydrotherapy pools in your area. If there is no pool, ask them why.
