Charlotte Bateman, one of our very own young people's volunteers, bravely undertook a skydive on July 3 and raised, with her friend, Sally Knudsen, a huge £1,397. Well done Charlotte!
Students of Taunton School recently held a charity fundraising event to raise funds for Arthritis Care Young People's Services in South England. The college ball theme was James Bond and the students were suitably attired in dinner jackets and glamorous evening wear. After the dinner the guests were able to try their luck in the casino or just dance the night away. A big thank you to Ben Grieve who chose the Young People's Project as the beneficiary for all the monies raised.
The parents of one of our young people, Eleanor, have very kindly agreed to donate a percentage of their business's profits to Arthritis Care's young people's activities. The company is Silkhook which sells an environmentally friendly way to catch garfish, so if any of you are interested in fishing do take a look at June and Andrew Row's website.
We make no charge for any of our Young People's events and therefore constantly need to raise money to be able to offer our services to as many young people in the South of England as possible. If you have any similar ideas for fundraising we'd love to hear from you. Just send an email to Suzanne Salmon SuzanneS@arthritiscare.org.uk , our Fundraising and Communications Manager, and she will be delighted to help.
