In the run up to the Scottish Assembly elections, we contacted all candidates and asked them to pledge their support for our 2011 Manifesto.

In particular we highlighted the following key points:

  • that it makes economic sense to support people with arthritis to stay independent and at work
  • that people with arthritis in Scotland deserve access to effective treatment on the same basis as those in the rest of the UK
  • that people with arthritis in Scotland need better pain management support
