Video transcripts

This is the transcript from the Joint Potential video:

Jen: Being on a ward with people that are much older and really ill
was, I think, really quite terrifying but when I saw the… when I got
the letter through to join this project it was quite exciting - I thought,
you know I could really have done with that before.

Kirstin: …how much arthritis emotionally, personally has affected
me, and I didn’t realise until you come on these kind of things and
you talk about it; and that it really does help talking about it with
other people.

Clair: I know a lot of us since we started here have said ‘I never
really had someone who - who truly understands what I’ve been
though’ and just to be able to, to talk about it… kind of come to
terms with it a bit maybe, and make it a positive experience, like
we were saying earlier you know… It’s part of your life but it’s not
all of your life.

Kirstin: There hasn’t been something like this in Scotland before
so if you come and have a go, if you don’t like it then you know you
don’t have to come back - but you probably will, because I love it
so far, it’s great.

The video was produced with thanks to 3 of our contact volunteers, Jen, Kirstin and Clair.
