Do you have arthritis or another chronic condition and a little time to support people with arthritis in your community?
Arthritis Care is looking to recruit course tutors to help deliver the Self Management Education Programme, approved and funded by NHS Norfolk. Our Challenging Arthritis courses help people manage their arthritis better, from pain management techniques, tips on healthy lifestyle to addressing the feeling of isolation and depression. Being a volunteer course tutor is very rewarding.
Jean has been a volunteer tutor for several years. She said "If you have a love of people, are compassionate and want to make a difference, you would enjoy being a training volunteer. I find that I am not only helping myself, I am also helping others and it does make a difference."
Full tutor training will be provided. All out of pockets expenses will be reimbursed and you will receive ongoing support in your role from staff members and volunteer colleagues.
