President of Arthritis Care

Jane Asher

Jane Asher became president of Arthritis Care in 2003. She has generously given her time to represent the charity at a number of events and regularly chairs the annual general meeting. Jane is committed to playing an active role in the charity and enjoys having the opportunity to meet people with arthritis and discuss the issues that affect them.

In addition to her position with Arthritis Care, Jane is a well known actress, best-selling novelist, businesswoman, and patron and president of a number of other UK charities. In 2001 she received an Honorary Doctor of Laws degree from the University of Bristol.

The Duke of Westminster KG CB OBE TD CD DL; Chairman of Grosvenor Trusts

The Duke of Westminster KG CB OBE TD CD DL is Chairman of the Grosvenor Trusts. His Grace recently retired as Assistant Chief of Defence Staff for Reserves and Cadets (ACDS R &C) in the rank of Major General, the first Reserve Officer to hold this rank since 1938. He is Colonel of RMLY (Royal Mercian & Lancastrian Yeomanry), Colonel Commandant of the Yeomanry and Honorary Colonel of the 7th Regiment Army Air Corps. He is also Colonel in Chief of the Royal Westminster Regiment, Vancouver.

His Graces was recently appointed a companion of the most Honourable Order of the Bath (CB);  the fourth most senior of the British Orders of Chivalry.

He is a member of the Prince’s Council of the Duchy of Cornwall and is involved with and actively supports over 250 charities and other organisations.
